This is the world largest organisation in defence of animal rights with more than 3 million members and supporters.
PETA focuses its attention on four areas in which the largest numbers of animals suffer most actively and for the longest period: farms, clothing trade, in labs and in the entertainment industry.
The organisation also works on a number of other issues including the cruel killing of rodents, birds and other “pests” as well as the cruelty on domestic animals.
